So this morning was a tough one for Ty and I! It was the first time in 7 years for me and 6 years for Ty that we didn't wake up in Auburn on a Saturday surrounded by football. We got on the phone and on facebook to see what everyone was up to which helped, but it still wasn't the same. I felt so bad leaving him to go to work because I knew he was taking it harder than I was. His next off day is Tuesday and by then worked 13 days in a row. This business can be tough and off days are incredibly important! He is working so much because many of his coworkers are utilizing the slow season for their vacation days! Everyday that Ty has worked this week his boss has come up to him and apologized for how much he has had to work, which is extremely nice of him. Ty is a hard worker and it shows in the kitchen! He told his boss it was perfectly fine... BUT... he wants to have one Saturday off so he can watch Auburn play!!!!! I'm so proud of him for stepping up and actually expressing what he wants! I'm sure you're thinking... SHIT he should be getting more than 1 day off a week anyways, but Ty has never enjoyed "rocking the ship" and pressuring others. It's nice that his boss said he would let him take whatever Saturday he wanted off soooooooooooooo looks like this couple may be able to watch the Iron Bowl after all!!!! :D
I got a phone call from my boss who mentioned that the entire English programming team would be going to a turtle release in San Jose! It was such an awesome experience! These animals are so precious and were super eager to get into that water!!! I didn't get hold one this time but I did get some great pics!!
This is by far my favorite picture of the day!! She was so ready to get our of that child's hand (which I don't blame here because I really don't think you are supposed to touch them...IDK) and into that water!!

This was after the release!! The waves were so rough, it is a miracle how these creatures work! They were born 3 days ago and just knew where they needed to be! The circle of life is such an amazing thing!

You can see them swimming after the waves took the turtles out to sea!! The were bobbing around and it really looked like they were having fun!
I've never had the chance to do anything like this before! The great things about Cabo is the exposure we have to wildlife. This was the first release of the season and many more are to come through out the year! The next one will be at the beginning of October! I really really really hope that it's around the same time that Patti and Steve are here so we can experience this together!
Though we aren't in Auburn for the big first win (and hopefully many more) of the season we still are keeping Auburn in our hearts! Miss you guys and wish you could be here to experience all this neat and new things we are doing!
